There are now three ways to
apply for permanent residence under the caregiver program.
You can use to apply for permanent residence any options you
meet the criteria:
A pathway to permanent residence for caregivers who provided
home care to children.
Caring for People with High Medical Needs Pathway:
A pathway to permanent residence for caregivers who provided
specialized care to the elderly or people with disabilities or chronic illness,
at home or in a health facility.
Live-in Caregiver Program:
A pathway to permanent residence for Caregiver already
working in Canada under a work permit from the Live-in Caregiver Program, and
for caregivers which was approved issuing a first license Labor family
caregiver Program after a favorable response from Service Canada to an impact
study of demand on the labor market submitted by the employer no later than
November 30, 2014.
